Good morning folks! It’s the first of December, and you know what that means?
No, we’re not talking about Christmas, (although we’re looking forward to bookish presents)… we’re talking about Amour Amour (!!!) which will be released on December 12th; in 11 days, I repeat, 11 DAYS!
We are obviously very excited because we are in love with Becca and Krista’s work, so if you haven’t read their books go check them out (here). We’ll soon review them so don’t worry, my friend.
Actually the Addicted series is what bought us together and the very reason of the name of our blog! Let us tell you the story of how this blog was born and then we’ll be right back to scream about this amazing book.
We were all waiting for the release of Addicted After All (Addicted #3) and we were screaming on twitter about all the things we loved so far in the series and the things we couldn’t wait to see happen. So, we had this group conversation, that was probably getting very annoying for our followers (oops!) and we decided to move the whole thing on whatsapp. I (Manu) had the brilliant idea of re-reading the previous books together and our friendship has grown and blossomed into a beautiful relationship since then; but we had to take the next step… making a blog together!
Since the Addicted series was what started this all, we dedicated our blog name, Calloway books, to the Calloway sisters, main characters of the series.
Also, Becca and Krista noticed us and followed us on twitter, we are very greatful and excited (we screamed a lot, it was beautiful).
They are so lovely, if you are like us and you adore talking with your favorite authors, Becca and Krista are always ready to reply to fans and make us squeal in excitement.
Now, back to Amour Amour, I made an edit because this circus setting is just so beautifully romantic!
Love is a circus
“Every day,” he says lowly, “I hold a person’s life in my hands. The circus is based one-hundred percent off trust. I give it all to someone, and they give it all to me.”
The best aerial technique won’t land 21-year-old Thora James her dream role in Amour—a sexy new acrobatic show on the Vegas strip. Thora knows she’s out of her element the second she meets Amour’s leading performer. Confident, charming and devilishly captivating, 26-year-old Nikolai Kotova lives up to his nickname as the “God of Russia.”
When Thora unknowingly walks into the crosshairs of Nikolai’s after-show, her audition process begins way too soon. Unprofessional. That’s what Nik calls their “non-existent” relationship. It’s not like Thora can avoid him. For one, they may be partners in the future–acrobatic partners, that is. But getting closer to Nik means diving deeper into sin city and into his dizzying world.
Thora wants to perform with him, but when someone like Nikolai attracts the spotlight wherever he goes—Thora fears that she’s destined to be just background to his spellbinding show.
This sexy and exhilarating New Adult Romance can best be described as Cirque du Soleil meets the steamy, athletic romance of Center Stage.
*standalone & no love triangles—recommended for readers 18+ for mature content*
If this summary doesn’t make you jump around your room, itching to read it, cuddle with it and love it, I don’t know what will.
“Every day, I hold a person’s life in my hands. The circus is based one-hundred percent off trust. I give it all to someone, and they give it all to me.”
We’re very excited to meet Nikolai Kotova, even though we’re already completely in love with him; and Thora James, this courageous heroine who leaves college to follow her dreams in Vegas.
The circus setting is really a great idea. It’s such an interesting and weird world and we’re all very curious to see how Becca and Krista have described it.
He stares down at me again. His gaze raking my small frame in a long wave.
“This isn’t about executing the best pitch tuck or vault somersault. There’s no score at the end of a show. People attend the circus to see the impossible become possible. And it’s up to us to create that illusion.”
His hand descends to my hip. His grip firm.
“And we do that using our bodies.”
We know for sure, after we’ve read seven books by Becca and Krista, that their writing style is very captivating and witty, that their characters are all so well defined, unique and funny. The male characters are indeed Gods of hotness (we would personally marry every single one of them without any second thoughts).
After saying all that, even if the book is not out yet, we highly recommend it. We trust these authors like that!
Keep checking out the blog since we’ll be making a countdown with more edits, tracklists and other stuff too, to wait together for this awesome book!
