Summary:

She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice… even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

…and it’s going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Review:

** 5 HILARIOUSLY CUTE STARS**

SWEET HOCKEY PLAYER ON A STICK I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! MY MIND IS IN A RAINBOW-COMA!

ENTERTAINING STORYLINE + HILARIOUS DIALOGUE + GREAT CHARACTERS + HOT SEXY TIMES = 5 STAR WORTHY WINNING COMBINATION.

Garrett and Hannah started an unlikely friendship when they eventually settled on a deal (Eventually- being the operative term. Let’s just say, Garret can be really be persistent). She agreed to tutor him so he can secure his position on the team and in exchange he will help her get the attention of Justin (her crush).

“Just out of curiosity,” she says, “after you wake up in the morning, do you admire yourself in the mirror for one hour or two?”
“Two,” I reply cheerfully. “I kiss each one of my biceps and then point to the ceiling and thank the big man upstairs for creating such a perfect male specimen.”

Their connection is undeniable and as they spend more time together their attraction grows. We loved how they really cared about each other. These two were genuinely friends first (well, before that Hannah didn’t want anything to do with this bad boy, but she grew to love the guy). They looked out for each other and even helped each other discover things about themselves. It is not insta-love, in fact the buildup between these two was one of my favorite things about this book and when they finally got together I was delighted.

“We’re kinda friends now.” [Hannah to Nelly]
“I heard that,” Garrett pipes up. “And there’s no ‘kinda’ about it. We’re best friends, Nelly. Don’t let Wellsy tell you otherwise.”

Seriously, Garrett and Hannah are perfection! Their chemistry is hot! Their banters are so cute and funny! I swear every interaction they have are pure gold.

Hannah and I are friends. In fact, she’s the only female friend I’ve ever had. And yes, I want to keep being Hannah’s friend. But.. I also want to sleep with her.

I swooned, laughed out loud, grinned till my cheeks ached and I just  loved them! And the fact that Garrett calls her Wellsy is just super adorable. The supporting characters are awesome too, which generally added more hilarity to it! In fact, there is a part in the book that literally made my eyes watered because of laughing, it’s…

3 words:

Locker Room Scene.

So overall, The Deal is definitely one of the most purely enjoyable reading experiences I’ve had in quite a long time!! It’s hilarious, but also really fluffy and you can not help but end up loving Hannah and Garrett. This is one of the better NA books out there, so do yourself a favor and read it now! You will not regret it!
