SUMMARY:

He knows how to score, on and off the ice

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

REVIEW:

The Score

I love the Off-Campus series! Love, love, love it! So I have been so excited to get to Dean’s book. And I am happy to say that The Score was everything I was hoping for if not more!

It has an entertaining storyline, witty and hilarious dialogues, endearing characters with off the charts chemistry!

In this book we meet Allie who just broken up with her long time boyfriend, Sean. She wants to move on with her life. And when Sean keeps trying to get her back, Hanna(her best friend) offers her to sleep in Garrett’s place so she doesn’t have to face him. And guess who also stays there? DEAN DI LAURENTIS (Yes, his name deserves to be in capitals).

So what happens if the queen of relationship and the king of one-night stands find themselves attracted to each other? Riot. Complete riot in ridiculously hilarious scale. I swear their interactions had me in hysterics. It was so damn funny!

I mean the Twilight reference, ‘Little Dean’, and my favorite- WINSTON, the pink dildo

Plus their sexual chemistry is pretty hot. *fans self*

But what I mostly love is that Allie and Dean’s relationship gradually grew. They tease each other but they we’re able to built a friendship out of respect and honesty with each other. It made their attraction believable and engaging. I have a silly grin on my face, laughing out loud and swooning like crazy because of those two the whole time I’m reading.

I also love the depth of both characters. Allie is such a lovable heroine. She is smart, funny, and crazy (in a cute, adorable way). And Dean is so much more than your typical cocky playboy with a crass sense of humor. He is caring, loyal, kind, charming and sensitive. The more you read, the more layers of him is being revealed and the more you will fall in love in him. And trust me, you will. Because I sure did. I want him. Bad.

I can’t say too much about the storyline because that is what makes this book fun. Not knowing what will happen next. But know up front The Score is a smart, sexy and enjoyable and refreshing read. Ms. Kennedy sure writes new adult books like no other and so far, I adore every single one of it immensely. She’s an auto-buy author for me and I can’t wait for what Ms. Kennedy has in store for us next!
