Review: Beautiful Boss (Beautiful #4.5) by Christina Lauren

beautifulboss

Summary:

The ninth work in the New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling series that started with Beautiful Bastard. In this e-novella, Will Sumner and Hanna Bergstrom (from Beautiful Player) find that a wedding and everlasting love were just the beginning.

One Player tamed. One nerd girl satisfied. And one more major life decision to make. When Will fell for Hanna, her quirky sense of humor and fierce dedication to her career were part of the attraction. (Not to mention her coy newbie attitude toward sex and her willingness to let him teach her everything.) But when the job offers start rolling in for her—and oh, they do—Hanna has trouble deciding what she wants, where they should live, and how much she should burden Will with the decision. Magic between the sheets is only one part of a relationship…getting on the same page is quite another altogether.

Review:

Beautiful Boss is a short and sweet story about Hanna and Will’s life after they get married and when they are about to take one of the hardest decisions in their relationship so far. In only 144 pages (if I’m correct), Christina Lauren make you connect with the couple the same way you did on Beautiful Player, and even though Will has been “tamed” and Hanna is more mature, deep down they are still the same dorks in love, which is adorable to see.

The story feels incredibly short and lefts you wanting for more of them, or anyone else on the gang (because they are all featuring in this novella), but luckily we won’t have to wait much because in October we get Jensen’s book so there’s that to look forward to!

Overall, a sweet love story that tackles some situations about growing up and adult-ing that we all will probably have to go through and none of us want. Making big decisions sucks, we all know it. Beautiful Boss is perfect for a night in and ONLY if you’ve read the previous books because there are some spoiler-y references you wont get otherwise.

Happy reading!
