It is time.. for the ultimate showdown. Which book boyfriend made my top 5 and who missed the boat? It might be bloody, there might be some fighting, but in the end.. this is what  feels right. So without further ado, let me introduce to you my top 5 favorite book boyfriends. Yay!

Book Boyfriend Number 1 – Adrian Ivashkov
No matter how many cute book boys  I will meet, Adrian will always and forever be my number one. He stole my heart in Vampire Academy but he actually made me fall (like, ten stories high) in love with him in Bloodlines. He’s sassy, he’s funny, he’s protective, he’s caring, he’s sweet and he’s also hot as fucking fuck. Seriously, what more does a girl want?

Book Boyfriend Number 2 – Loren Hale
*fans self* my precious cinnamon roll, baby boy, sweet son. I love Lo and I always have and I always will. He is such a beautiful man, inside and out. I want my own Lo.

Book Boyfriend Number 3 – Will Herondale
This beautiful boy has a way with words and I’m a sucker for pretty words and handsome boys. Just the name Will Herondale makes my heart stutter. He loves so deeply, he cares so much. How could you not love this guy? Continue reading

Top 5: favorite sidekick characters

Hola booknerds! C’est moi, Amy and today I thought it was a fun idea to do a personal top 5. I’ve seen them around in the bookblogworld and I thought it would make a really cool post. So today I present to you: my top 5 favorite sidekick characters from Young Audult books. Let’s do this.

  1. Roar (Under The Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi).
I don’t know many people that have read this series (comment down below if you’ve read it!) but Roar is by far my favorite sidekick character in the YA-book world. He’s the best friend of Perry, who’s one of the main characters and he’s just so fucking loveable. Roar is sassy, quick to grin, a prankster, caring, protective and above all, a really great friend. I jumped of joy when I found out he had his own little novella and I loved that a LOT. So yeah, if you haven’t read UTNS yet, go do it now! Even if it’s just for Roar.

“The wise ask questions, Perry. The weak doubt.”

  2. Eddie Castile (Vampire Academy & Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead)
My baby Eddie. Who doesn’t love him!? I want my own Eddie *sighs*. We meet him in Vampire Academy because of Mason, and after book two he becomes good friends with Rose too. In Bloodlines he’s paired to Jill and he and Sydney form a really awesome friendship. He’s super protective (obviously), strong, dedicated, caring and also hot as fuck. I had to say it. Even though Adrian is my great love, I still have a tiny crush on Eddie.

“My job is to protect her. To keep her safe. That’s where all my attention needs to be.”

  3. Zuzana Nováková (Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor)
I’m going to be honest. I might love Zuzana more than I love Karou while the latter is the main character of dosab. No regrets, though, because Zuzana is awesome! She’d be such a cool friend to have (though she herself would probably disagree) and together with Mik they make such an adorable couple. You don’t know how much I LOVED ready Night of Cake and Puppets. Zuze is brave and bad-ass and tiny and curious. And she also makes a great best friend.

“I have never in my life typed a heart symbol. Those are for milquetoast girls. Karou will probably think my phone’s been stolen – or possibly my body, by a lovelorn alien.”

  4. Cecily Herondale (The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare)
What can I say? She’s a Herondale and Herondales have my heart. I’ve always been sad that there was never enough to feed my Cecily interests in the books so I’m kinda hoping The Last Hours will make up for that (wishful thinking). Just like Zuze, Cecily is a bad-ass young lady and determined to get what she wants. Apparently I like myself some bad-ass ladies.

“You know,” Cecily said, “you really didn’t have to throw that man through the window.”

  5. Puck/Robin Goodfellow (The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa)
Puck is a prankster and always in for a laugh. He also has the best one-liners in the books, not gonna lie. Next to mischievous and funny he’s also very loyal. And he has green eyes and I’m a sucker for green eyes. When reading the books you just want to crawl into the pages and give the guy a tight hug and never let go.

“Oh, we’re playing nice now? Shall we have tea first? Brew up a nice pot of kiss-my-ass?”
